. : NEW SAAB 9-3 TURBO EDITION : .

May 5, 2009

Saab has introduced a Special Edition model to its 9-3 range that allows you to lower your CO 2 emissions and improve your driving experience, without compromising your bank balance.

The new Saab 9-3 Turbo Edition comes with an impressive selection of features as standard including 17-inch alloy wheels, leather interior, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, 9-speaker 150w audio system with MP3 compatibility and cruise control. It is available from just £19,995 for the Saloon and £21,071.60 for the SportWagon.

The new 9-3 Turbo Edition also marks the launch of Saab's revised EcoPower diesel engine range – technology designed to offer lower CO 2 emissions and increased fuel efficiency.

The 1.9TiD 150hp/110 kW engine now produces CO 2 emissions of just 137g/km with combined fuel economy of 54.3mpg. The 1.9TTiD 180hp/132 kW twin turbo diesel engine has also been revised, and now produces only 139 g/km and has an impressive combined fuel consumption figure of 53.3mpg. The SportWagon's figures are also improved for both engines, to 144 g/km and 51.4mpg. This puts most Turbo Edition variants with diesel engines in VED Band E.

In terms of CO 2 grams per horsepower, the twin turbo diesel models badged (1.9TTiD) are now among the top performers in their class, delivering on power whilst offering attractive tax benefits for fleet decision makers and business motorists.

David Pugh, General Manager Sales and Marketing Strategy from Saab, said: “The 9-3 Turbo Edition offers a package that is undeniably appealing on all levels – from price to performance and emissions.

With more power for less money than its rivals, and the added bonus of many of the extras from our most prestigious vehicles as standard, this car allows you to travel in luxury for considerably less.”
